I have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic, Integrative Counselling and I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Since qualifying in 2011 I have also undertaken further training in Attachment Theory (and have a postgraduate Diploma in that), Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) and Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
An important part of my approach to counselling is working relationally with clients to help them explore and come to terms with their experiences during childhood and adolescence - particularly in the way they related to their parents or primary caregivers -
since this may well be a significant factor in the cause of the psychological problems and concerns that trouble them.
As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I draw on a number of different approaches to counselling when working with clients including person centred therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
